Please note that this event is completely sold out: no tickets are available. In addition, the University's contract with Gore prohibits any sort of simulcast to an overflow venue. However, the film version, An Inconvenient Truth, will be shown by the University Union on the 13th, 15th, 16th and 17th. See universityunion.org for details on times and locations.
Al Gore will present his message on climate change, the basis for the recent movie "An Inconvenient Truth," in person at Landmark Theatre. The lecture, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Syracuse University Student Association, is being co-sponsored by the Student Association, the University Union Speakers Board and University Lectures.
Tickets for undergraduate students of SU and ESF are $7 ($5 plus a $2 fee imposed by the theatre) and went on sale on Aug. 23 via the link below:
General admission tickets will be available to graduate students, faculty, staff and the general public beginning Sept. 2; see the Landmark Theater link below. Ticket prices will be $5 for SU and ESF students, and $10 for the public; all tickets will be subject to the Landmark's $2 convenience fee. On the night of the lecture, SU will provide students with transportation between the Schine Student Center and the Landmark Theatre.
