Title:Onondaga County votes to ban hydrofracking waste
Date:Dec 29, 2013
With no discussion, the county Legislature today unanimously approved a law that forbids the treatment of hydrofracking fluids in any wastewater treatment plant and the spreading of it on roads to reduce ice.

"This is not a typical hydrofracking law that would polarize both sides," said Legislator Michael Plochocki, R-Marcellus, chairman of the legislative Environmental Protection Committee. "This is an issue of hydrofracking waste and its proper disposal."
